I booked a trip to Tioman during the Natas Fair through Five-Star, it's a 3D2N flight plus Berjaya Resort free & easy.
Yesterday, 10 Mar 08, my family and I arrived at the Seletar Terminal at 1:30pm, waiting for Air Berjaya to fly us over. It had been raining the whole day, and I got this sinking feeling....
Then, we were told that the weather at Tioman "is not so good for landing"....and then we with another 20 over passengers were held at the small lobby to wait for the weather "to get better".
At 5pm plus, we're told the flight is cancelled....My daughter cried, so we had to calm her down, and make way to go home.
I called up Five-Star, the travel agent, spoke to Kok Ping, the agent who served us during Natas fair. He promised to look into this matter and assist us.
This morning, Air Berjaya called us up, and told us that we could go Seletar Terminal and wait to see if there's any additional flight to Tioman, but we decided not to spend another day sitting there watching cartoons.
Kok Ping called up, and told me that they could change my trip to other dates, thank goodness!!
I had requested to change to Vesak day weekend, rather pay the extra surcharge, as my daughter is in primary school (was told this offer is not valid during the Jun holiday).
So, for the time being, had to wait for May.....
